" Achieved By Fate"

Just another retired day
                Nothing special along the way.
               Another day with no predictions
            Clear skies above, perfect conditions.
Then in a flash she is gone
That voice now sings a tearful song.
She has parted in her selfish way
Suddenly, she's taken my heart away.
Crossing that line, I investigate at once
But her response will take for months.
A loss so hard for me to take
Loneliness is such a painful ache.
Tears and emptiness now rule the day
Can new love ever find its way?
And so I shout, just let her go
I shall search so high and low.
To find my one and only mate
A soul discovered, achieved by fate.
