I dreamed of my first love
And what He would be like
I prayed, with faith in God
and sailed it off, like a kite

On a hot and steamy day
My dream came into focus
As clear as a noonday

Walking along the seashore
We nearly passed each other by

I mustered up, words to say hi

I was a young woman
with shiny long dark hair
Shy I tried to hide my face
Then, I saw him standing there

I was, swept off my feet
with that smile so contagious

For God saw it in advance
It was our turn to dance

Captivated by his charms
We two became, one blood
It was written in the stars
We were meant to be my love

You hold my very gaze
as a starlit filled sky

The day I fell for you
You took my breath away
and for your dreamy kisses
I waltz to heavens Milky-way

As seas rush to shore
I'd swim the ocean floor
Just to have you near me
The one and only I adore

My love for you is more
Than mere words convey
our love will always be
As long there's you and me

I'm happy when I wake
To find you by my side
Waking up to your face
brings sunshine to my eyes
