midnight

SUHANA HUSAIN 2004 (uttar pradesh)

I remain awake in the silent hour of night,
gazing through the window for the bright moonlight.
the stars are shining so bright,
everything in the room is so quite.

the trail of never ending question arise,
for which the answer are yet to find,
in the helpless moment, i just close my eyes.
i think of all the people i left behind.

and i'm so sick of being tired,
when all i went to do is lift myself higher.
i am a loner and so shy,
i just want to be the star in the sky.
