Just Different Than You

Gianna Lee Smith 1967 (Oklahoma)

I know that I'm different, just different than you.
I've never fit in, I'm not part of a crew.
Just happy some times to be part of the plan.
Over looked and pushed down I still do what I can.
Not known to compete, there is no race to bee won.
I don't have to win. I'm not number one.
I'm not seeking beauty in time it fades fast.
At the end of the line, I don't mind being last.
I'm simple and plane with a heart full of hope.
I've endured life's misfortunes and been made the joke.
Been called many names and looked over each time.
My soul is not mean, not mad, or unkind.
I'm not seeking greatness. I'm no better than you.
I'm humble and happy telling only the truth.
I don't steal or lie. I try hard to bee good.
I don't think that I'm special, just misunderstood.
I don't care for liers, the wicked or theives.
Not surching for power, not driven by greed.
There are only a hand full. Yes only a few.
That are simply just diffeent, just different than you.
