If Heaven had a number

Brian edlin 1980 (United States)

Ode

If Heaven had a number i would call just to say hello
If heaven had a number could i say i miss you
If heaven had a number i would ask how your has been.

If heaven had a number i would tell you how things been going
When i hear your voice again
I close my eyes and imagine you right be side me

If heaven had a number would you let me  call you all the time
If heaven had a number
Would you answer it when i called

I miss more and more everyday
That passes because your not here
I wish i could hear your voice again
I can still feel  you even though i cant see you

If heaven had a number
Oh if heaven had a number
I would call you just to say i love you

I wrote this poem in remembrance of my dad( Kenneth Edlin) he went home to the Lord this 4th of July. What more can i say i was close to my dad and i wonder what he is doing,i think about him all the time,i look at pictures and i can still feel him.So i wondered if Heaven had a number so i could call to check on him.
