Breath

Breath in... breath out...
Within the darkness, you were my light
Held upon a pedestal you made me feel alive
Your kindness enwrapped me like a blanket on a winter night
Safe and secure your words were intoxicating
A woven web deeply entangled
Deception and false illusions
my sight obscured
As long as the wrong still feels right I will stay in flight
Father time crept in like a thief in the night
What once was is no more
Feelings evaporate, your presence fade like snow changing in the glistening sun.
No footprint left behind, was this all just a dream?
For that's what it seems
