Waiting By the Shore Line

Waiting on the shore line as day loses light,
I take in a once-in-a-lifetime sight.
The end of the day for someone like me, at least,
But the beginning for those in the north, south, west or east.

Trees sway to a silent musical dance,
Even if you stop looking, they will leave you in a trance.
A swift cool drift of wind traves under the tree,
While blocking sun rays hotter than should be.

Soft sand containing colors of yellow, off-white, and gold.
An eternal story that can be told,
Of an army of colors alone they stand,
To reflect all the humidity off the land.

As red-ish purple colors fly above,
And a windy breeze on the clouds, in which they drove.
The seagulls will sing their final song,
Until the next day, they shall sing once again.

Those harmful black rocks that are off to the side,
Different and random, should never be your guide,
Never go close to that dangerous zone,
Death will take you and shall you be alone.

These rocks formed from the sea itself,
Worth to be upon your shelf
Look for the clams that are yet hidden away,
You might find a pearl worthy for display

And then the sea who waves at every human being,
Never shall it ever be leaving.
As fish the color of coral dance in and out of the water.
Let this sight never falter.

Waiting on the shore line as day loses light,
I take in a once-in-a-lifetime sight.
Then the light starts to fade to my fright,
and then day falls to night.
