Running through the fields

Running through the fields with daisys in her hair,
Sunlight on her skin with a crisp light breeze of air.

Thanking all her lucky stars , that she’s still here today,
Feeling forever grateful , that her sickness went away.

Her hand upon her chest, as her heart beats rapidly,
Soaking in that moment with her perfect family. ❤️

She lives each day to the full,
As if it is her last.
Savouring every moment , to make up for the past.

Her family all beside her , they never once had left.
Fixed her hair when it fell out and when she lost her breast.

Went with her to the hospital, and listened to her news.
She was about to fight a battle,
That they told her she could lose.

Not one of them had lost the faith , that she could win this fight,
They stayed with her , right by her side,
Morning , noon and night.

When doctors came and gave her
The worse news that they could get,
Their family bond grew stronger
And they refused to hear this threat.

They held her hand and sang to her
Her favourite little song
They each took turns to sing a verse
Her journey had been long.

She drifted off into , a peaceful little sleep
Slipped into a quiet dream , where she could hear a weep.

There on cold ground ,in a cell
Lay a girl so ill in tears,
She looked like she’d been laying there
So sick for many years.

She went to walk towards her
When she suddenly seen a light,
Standing there before the girl
Was an angel in her sight.

She lay a hand upon the girl
Through the bars she kissed her cheek.
The angel’s hands around her face
And she began to speak..

“ Your family they all need you, it’s time to set you free.”
And underneath the jail bars , the angel slipped a key.

She turned the key in the lock
As she opened up her eyes,
A family sat all crying , as she rose to their suprise.

The doctor’s came and could not believe
That she had fought all odds,
But her family never gave up hope
In angels and in god.

Sitting in the daisy field with grass between her toes
Loving every moment of this life that she now knows .❤️
