Fated Love

When I first saw you I knew
That I just had to have you.
You were so very sweet and kind
I wished that you could be mine.
--
I was married though you were free.
It seemed our love could never be.
I was older and you were young.
But I knew we could have had fun.
--
I had to go, you had to stay.
There was just no other way.
Years later we met once more.
Not quite like it was before.
--
This time around we’ll take a chance.
Take a chance at our romance.
We’ll have to watch what others say.
But we’ll be making love someday
--
When we do it will be great.
You just can’t deny it is fate.
We are two people meant to be.
Together always you and me.

About this poem

My internet was down and I was bored. I sat here and wrote 4 poems. This was the 1st one. About no one in particular, just a made up situation of a couple foolishly (or not) in love.
