Legacy

By the time I'm gone,
I hope I made a difference;
Been a failure offten and made a mess of things.
my life stayed the same
until I learn forgiveness.
I only hurt myself, by holding on to blame;
Tough lessons learned,
such a selfish lonely road.
All this pain born of my poor decisions
The shit i I went through,
Was the same shit I chose,
And it dont matter that I started out with good intentions
Set out to find myself
But also found my vices
Everything changed, inherent, random ruin.
Eventually got so lost and I forgot what life is;
And grew accustom to the bitter taste of losin.
Pushed everyone away to embrace this madness.
Drug-induced comfort in this disarray,
the only thing the drugs couldn't shake was sadness;
But how can I answer for my past without the words to say.
Although I chose this life, maybe through it all I was mistaken.
Hell just add  it to a long list of a regretful past.
Did I learn too late or lack the faith to make it.
Grew farther from every answer for every question asked.
I can say I lived the good and bad
I know hopeless and faithful.
Had to learn life on my own to believe to understand
Cant believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.
No doubt it'll hurt forever but I finally know just who i am.
