Defiantly Rebellious

Defiantly rebellious.
And defending denial.
Against overwhelming proof of truth.
There seems to be no cure or remedy,
That reveals the evidence of a reality.
Not to allege or assume it,
But for all to see vividly produced.

Yet...
Regardless of what is said.
Or done to present,
Many on the wrong side of a fence...
To convince them they are not right.
The more attempts they take to make,
With blame to claim...
Themselves to be victims.
Done to portray others as nonconformists.
Although...
The ones they portray that way,
Are not deluded to fiction...
Truth for what truth is to be.
Or take a position that ruins to destroy,
A quality of life.
For no other reason or purpose,
But to prove...
Just how powerful ignorance can be.
When it is sold to believe,
Delivers to the mindless...
Entitlements with benefits to receive.

'I can not believe what I witness to see,
Going on and given...
Approval and acceptance!'

'I know.
But many years ago,
Before this mess reached your doorstep...
You had no problem with it.
Now that it is in your own backyard,
For whatever the reason...
It has become more noticeable!
Perhaps you spent too much of your time,
Passing judgment.
And creating to implement,
Conflict, division and chaos.
To perceive your actions,
Would not follow you back...
To your guarded and protected,
Gilded cage.'

'I resent your...'

'Observation? Assessment?
Or the facts of tracks your laid?'

'I resent the tone of your voice!
Insolent.
Uppity.
Direct and lacking in,
Oh...
What is that word?'

'Pretention?'

'No.
Respect.
That's it.
Your tone lacks respect.'

'Well...
Hopefully one day,
We all will come to agree...
Being dishonest was something done,
In a past to know it nonsense.'

'Meaning what?'

'That day has yet to come!
