Night owl

G.G. 2000 (India)

I see the owl in the night
When the moon is shining very bright
The owl sits on a tree at a great height

I hear the sound it makes
It swoops down and it's prey it takes
Which I am sure is not a cake

It's got sharp and big eyes
As the big book say, the owl doesn't tell lies
Though I can not see in the dark,
I believe the owl has a beguiling smile

It has big feathery wings
and claws through which it's prey it clings
It has a beak
Do not make the mistake thinking it is weak

It is called the knowledge owl
Not scared of any animal's growls!

About this poem

The night owl is kind and mighty. Inspired by it, I have written a fun and kid-friendly poem describing the beautiful owl. :)
