Late Summer

Dancing in the parking lot.
Leaving our beach towels out to rot.
Freckles in a Ferocious bloom.
Breezy Fall days on the horizon soon.
Twirling with your hair all day.
Not being afraid to say what you want to say.
Radiating confidence like there’s no tomorrow.
Cute clothes amongst friends plenty to borrow.
Milkshakes serving as the perfect dip for fries.
As the Sun glimmers on that one boy’s eyes.
Laughter till midnight fills the streets.
Popcorn spilled all over the seats
Enough memories to share around,
As everyone listens to the late-summer sounds.
