THE MAN WHO SLAVED THE STATE OF VICTORIA

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

Jeff Kennett enslaved Victoria
Turned us all to slaves,
We’re working like machines now
From birth until the grave;
Each day we get new taxes
So there’s nothing left to save,
We work from 9 till well past 5
Without any overtime pay.

We travel to and from work
Without workers’ compensation,
If we’re hit by a car or bus
We’re in a sad sad situation;
We’re all victims of a man
Suffering from mental constipation,
Victoria has become the new
Slave state of this nation.

Our schools are being shutdown
As are our hospitals and trains,
Can’t get no education now
This man must be insane;
We rue the day we voted for Kennett
Please bring back Kirner or Cain,
We’d even settle for John Brumby
To end this madman’s reign.

About this poem

As I have mentioned before, Jeff Kennett was an evil, totalitarian fascist who enslave the working class in Victoria for around seven horrid years.
