POLITICALLY-CORRECT ZOMBIES

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

They shuffle ‘cross late-night TV
The zombies from olden times,
But the modern ones walk or run
And wish to control our minds.

Mind-control is back in vogue
Now Labor is back in power,
The politically-correct zombie-class
Grow more strident by the hour.

Yes Labor policies, so political
Are correct in all but morals,
You have to do whate’er your told
Labor will brook no quarrels!

So we learn to live correctly
Our behaviour must passed the test,
We mustn’t ever think for ourselves
It isn’t politically correct.

Right thinking is now the order
And orders must be obeyed!
We mustn’t commit a thought-crime
And be careful of what we say!

Yes Labor is big on correctness
A correctness that’s morally void,
Mistakes cannot be tolerated
And freedom no longer enjoyed.

Women-driver jokes are verboten now
And certain words are now taboo,
So update your political dictionary
To find out what words can be used.

Yes Labor has taken away our rights
To think or to act or be human,
To have a right to even speak now
You must be black, or gay, or woman!
