Consciousness

I think therefore I’m not,
Cognitive biases rife throughout,
Receptacle for experience one holds dear,
Understanding, turns out, not so clear,

The earth is flat I clearly see,
As the sun revolves around me,
Molecules and particles are that’s there,
What I see is all I care,

Matter and energy a physicist’s dream,
The why resides between the seams,
Linear time and physical fields,
Is what science presently yields,

I sense someone’s stare, I turn to see I’m in your glare,
The phone is ringing I don’t know who, all I know is it’s not you,
The rose is red I clearly see, you see pink, who is wrong you or me,
Brain is matter objectively there, mind is energy subjectively aware,

Time, mass, charge scientifically revealed,
But is consciousness the fundamental field,
Processed inside manifesting from out,
Something is missing to which no doubt.
