The power of the mind a gift I love
But something I must conceal from most
It’s a positive way for me to see but stand back and let things be
I am a creature of my experience, a story unlike most
Different and happy to be so, I will smile and be soft and polite
But often dare to stand out, because I will never follow the crowd
I don’t know how people run in the herd, it doesn’t look fun trying to fit in
So alone I stay happily so, I don’t need much but trust is something from the past
Hope one day I can find it again, but happily to only let the worthy in
