A Catholic Limerick

After reading the life of Patrick
I rushed to my study to seek
A paper and pen
Seated was I then
To write a Catholic limerick.

The first thing that came to mind
I shall genuflect in such a kind
That seers would see
A genuflected me
And would see the reason behind.

I will write and pray and talk
It mustn't come to you as shock
A Christian life
Is a constant strife
So let's bear our Cross and walk.

And lastly I bring you a mental fodder
Think of it with a vision broader
Had Luther been wise
And saved his ties
We would have had a Lutheran order.
