Never Forget

Teddy Ruppenthal 1971 (Martinsburg WV)

I'll never forget the day we first met
The rest of my life I will forever regret
The smile on your face when I first saw your eyes
I could never imagine we'd say our goodbyes
You showed me just how true love was to be
I took you for granted and it became about me
You made me feel like it came from a book
You gave my life meaning my whole world was shook
The love I felt I never thought could be true
I experienced true love and I got that from you
Forever my heart will have a huge hole
You captured my spirit you captured my soul
My days will seem empty for the rest of life
There's no doubt in my mind I could've made you my wife
How you look at me now is a pain thats unmatched
Like you reached in my chest and my heart was just snatched
If only some how I could still make you see
That deep in my heart is where you will be
These words I speak now fall def on your ears
My memories of you still brings me to tears
Had i get the chance to show you once more
The way that I love you and you'd know for sure
That I love you more then any poem could say
Id give the whole world just to get you to stay
I have no choice but to try and set you free
Forever and always you're my Honey Bee!
I love you means nothing and its so hard to deal
But I promise you faithfully that my love is real ❤
