As I contemplate this rose
I think of your beauty.
What a closeness
What a likeness
You have your thorns
As does everyone
But despite them
I hold you tighter
Blood dripping from my hands.

Stanley Adam Dimattia: Adam, as we call him, is the artsy type, painting, always writing songs... sketching and plays the guitar. He was 18 when he published the poem "Thorns of Love" and I'm sure this poem came on because of girl friend issues. He always had girlfriends, many.
