An Unidentified Intimacy

When you arrived into my life, you were like honey,
The taste of which melted my mouth with sweetness,
Now you are that rotten ingredient,
That is layering my throat with shades of bitterness…

You lightened up the corners of my heart with some exhilarating radiance,
As does the flames of the scented candles,
But my despondent spirit extinguished that flame,
Haunting my mind with hails of ignorance…

Your musical voice does not make me smile anymore,
The sweet words from your mouth only gives me pain,
Yet gives me nothing but vain,
I wish these forced words get shattered in dust,
And get mingled with the dance of lust,
This broken flute does not smile anymore,
This broken heart does not connect anymore…

The moon seems unilluminated,
It seems like the night is shedding tears,
Yet the darkness drags on unevaporated,
Filling my heart with sorrow and fear…

In what words should I manifest,
The flavour of my plight,
Listeners are abundant but none understand,
The fountain of love has dried,
The broken pieces of my heart, in search of the fading love, cried…
