Gotta Get Back Up

"Gotta Get Back Up"

When the world knocks you down, and it hurts real bad,
You feel like giving up, but you know, for your kids sake you can not,
No turning back,no stopping me,giving it all I have ever had,
Sometimes though, it takes just a little, instead of giving it all you got,
Go talk about me all you want,it's not gone do you any good,
We can't give up now,the world might come to it's end, then all we got is us,
So come get you some,we can act like we back in the hood,
It's not that hard to understand, you went to alternative, you didn't ride the short bus,
So tell your new man he can come get his ass whooping anytime, homie,
I'm even gonna hold my homies back for ya,so come get you some,
Good luck bro,you can even come try put them red dots all on me,
I know that all that shit I had to take from you,now makes me numb,
Some things, when you messing with me happen in the blink of an eye,
Sometimes it don't matter if I'm smart, they all act like they want me to be dumb,
Relationships with me,so far in my life, they never work out,no matter how hard I try,
I can never give up,never surrender, even if this life makes me want to,
So hard out here,it makes me afraid to raise my kids,no lie,
Now I know what they meant,"do what I say not what I do",
So go ahead, throw dirt on me, grow wild flowers, don't bother me,
Who cares what you say,you know you lied, ain't none of that shit true,
So no matter what if you don't believe me,watch and see,
I got knocked back down by you, but,I always end up with a full cup,
Just give me a second to step back and think,I always "Gotta Get Back Up".
