The Trail Behind The Hero

The webs are deserted
the water glistens on the lonely white threads
the buildings have fallen
the rubble glows at the crack of dawn
the holes have spread
to the size of the dead
but the people are happy
the police are too
the city smiles
the day has been saved
for the avengers
can let the police eat a donut today

About this poem

It shows the destruction behind the work done to save the day. Although there is tons of damage done to save people, at the end of the day everyone is relieved.
