Ascension

Heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased his lord but you don't really care for music do you.
Saviors dreams worlds of blessed
Humanity's curse disciples quest
The barefoot kings composing hallelujah.

Sweet music to new masters ear tempo sharp message clear,
No longer humble note about you.
For power and wealth insatiable need salute the lords of war and greed with false and hollow hallelujah.

Innocence born by sin displaced the past a future doomed to face,
Compelled to lose the winning hands fates dealt you
Passing through a life of lies gaze averted pleading eyes deaf to endless anguished cries of lost and hopeless hallelujah.

To find a chord sound of light to shred this pall of dreadful night
Look deep the beating heart within you
Vital spark our common seed
Earths children all no demon difference culture creed
The beauty truth and hope of hallelujah

Apologies to Cohen
