Lost

Jay Black 2005 (Idaho)

I-I don't know what to say
You always knew what to say to take my breath away
You were my knight in shining armour
Always and forever a charmer
But now you're gone and I weep on the ground
I know the world will continue to spin around

Without you here, my love,
The world causes me to glove
My emotions so they don't show
But I feel them like a homeless man feels snow
They are always there
Watching you with a glare

Without you, I'm afraid
My demons might invade
I love you
And all I see is blue

They are here now
I stop and take a bow
Welcome, one and all
To the grand hall
The theater of my mind
Will now show you how we are intertwined

As they watch the events play out in front of them
Their eyes seem to look like a gem
Our love is dangerous
But always was adventurous

My darling, my dear
We must now clear
You'll go on and I will remain transfixed in time
I would go on to become a mime
Never talking
Always watching

And in time my memories of us will be lost
But will never be forgotten like the frost.
