Analysis of Take the Flight
Jothsna K 1985 (Malappuram)
Take the Flight
Once upon a time; they keep telling me
There dwelled upon this earth, some gods and goddesses
The goddesses so sweet, who tread with lotus feet
Were so full of grace, that made the heavens race..
Was it just a tale, I wonder now and then
For I never came upon, such a happy queen
They no longer smile, with that fabled sheen
There's story left untold, of how they lost their reign..
There is no thing as fate, they've got to be certain
That they needn't wait, for the rules to change
'You have all the rights, to set your crown back straight,
Just wake up, it's gone...like a long bad dream....'
Days and nights were made, time and tide were made
The same for one and all, that's no blunder by GOD
Then why to wither away, why be another prey
Like the birds set free, reach for the bright blue sky..
