Analysis of Friend Store

Where do you go when you want a friend?
A friend to talk to, cry to, smile with, cuddle with.

Two streets over and four blocks down.
There's a place with "HELLO" over the entrance,
Posters in the windows saying "COME IN", "WELCOME."
And a big blue neon sign reading "FRIEND STORE."

Just open the door and walk in.
Ring the bell on the counter.
A gray haired jolly man will come to meet you.
"How can I help you today?"

Just say "I'd like a girl friend, a musical friend,
A poet, a blind friend, a black friend,
A funny friend, and if you don't mind,
A friend to be with on the weekend."

He'll say to you,
"Sure. That will be honesty and respect please.
Just don't waste any one of them."
And, he'll give you thanks for change.
