Analysis of Thoughts
Life isn’t always beautiful poetry,
I lack the perfect metaphor or simile,
No clever imagery to describe my place in society,
Just simple words to describe the emptiness of life,
Just sleepless nights with voices in my head,
Thinking of everything that has been left undone or unsaid.
Looked into the mirror and talked to a 19 Year Old Me, who was going to start a new chapter,
Warn him about the choices he will make and the impact that they will have,
Naively believing what life was meant to be, thinking his opinions would matter
Silence being the one true friend,
Living in a religion he is not allowed to offend.
Family don’t want to start to understand,
All that matters is what they demand,
I should be a robot programmed with other peoples thoughts,
And the ideologies that they have brought,
Maybe there is an alternative earth where there is nothing wrong,
An earth where he feels he could truly belong.
He tries to run away,
But he is powerless and trapped, so has to do stay
He is a weak geek, so what can he do
To his desires he can never be true
Living his remaining years through an addictive malaise,
Being told everything he thinks and feels is a passing phase.
