Analysis of After I Am Gone!
Evans E Bradley 1949 (Washington, DC)
After I have passed onto the other sphere,
It's just a little too late to wish that I was here,
While I was here you took for granted my feelings for you,
But now that I am gone you realized those feelings too,
As I sit here on the other side looking back at my past,
I see you and all the others crying because I left so fast,
Don't you let what happen to me happen to you as well,
Get it, do it, have it while you are here before the last bell,
Today is now, you can reach out and touch it, it's for real,
Tomorrow is later, another time that you may or may not feel,
For after the last bell tolls and your soul goes on its way,
Nothing is left but an empty shell that in time will only decay.
