Analysis of A Risk of the Heart!

Evans E Bradley 1949 (Washington, DC)

When I was young and not to smart,
I took a chance with my trusting heart,
I fell in what I thought was love or lust that day,
Not knowing the cost I would have to pay,
As the years went by my life was torn apart,
That’s when I realized I was a victim of what I started,
The give, take, and what I received,
Left me so weak I fell to my knees,
I survive the ordeal and began life anew,
That is one reason why I am talking to you,
No matter how hard or low you fall,
You must believe in yourself or nothing at all,
The pain was great it crushed my spirits too,
The fact that I am here today is that I knew what to do,
My mother taught me one thing that keeps me on my feet,
If you don’t take “A Risk Of The Heart” your life will end in defeat.
