Analysis of A Brief Encounter Or Failed Allurement
Two damsels came along the creek,
With swaying pace and rosy cheek,
And singing songs
So tuneful and unique.
A chap was sitting there,
Absorbed in a book so rich and rare,
For him nothing from the book could tear.
Although so near, he heeded not,
They raised the tune and tried a lot,
But he went on and heeded not.
At length, they twisted words,
To spice their songs, for they were bored,
On which he was so shocked.
They paused a while to mark his look;
He just looked up with a sluggish look,
Then turned again to read his book.
The lures did fail,
He took the wind out of their sail,
They tried their best to no avail.
