Analysis of To the gems of my life
Thaamarai Selvi SP 2001 (Madurai)
You're like that star,
while I gaze at you casually
you become more beautiful
and hold me
but when I need your light
you disappear.
And I know you knew
that my body isn't just
of blood but by your memories
isn't just of bones,
but by your warmth.
Isn't just of heart and soul
but yours.
You are one of those
sly company of people
who care for me
and it feels like home
I'll be just me
No pretensions; no fakeness;
Just me
And I'll be myself when you're beside me
You'll care for me even in those darkest of nights
yes, there are souls who can be called gems
And you're one of them.
