Analysis of If
If he was happy
I was ecstatic
If he laughed
I smiled
If he felt good
I felt great
If he wept
I cried
If he had pain
I ached
If he gasped for air
I lost my breath
If his hand reached for mine
I grasp for his
If he were to become blind
I would not be able to see
If he were to become deaf
I would not be able to hear
If he were to become mute
I would not be able to speak
He loved me with all his heart
I felt it in mine
His love inhabited my body
We became one soul
