Analysis of High School Crush

CV 2005

I remember the first day I met you
As you sat at the front of the class
That’s when I knew
You were the one

Every day, I search the faces in the halls
Looking to see the familiar smile
The smile that lights up my day
And gives life to the butterflies in my stomach

I wait to hear you yell my name
As you wave from across the hall
You’ll never know how happy I get
As I wave back trying not to blush

I don’t know if I’ll ever tell you
If I’ll ever work up that confidence
Until then we’ll stay friends
Waving across the halls
