Analysis of Vietnam
Jungle filled with a eerie silence
No one makes a sound
Guns at the ready
Point man constantly looking around
Wires hidden, meant to kill you
Always kept out of view
Bullets flying, bombs exploding
You hit the ground
You hear that voice ,"Keep your heads down!!"
Body rigid afraid to move
OH MY GOD!!! what do I do?
So much fear deep in my bones
I just want to go home
The fight has ended your still alive
Sad to say some of your buddies didn't survive
Vietnam a place we should not be
Government too stupid to see
Soldiers return home to anger and hate
No one waiting at the gait
Vietnam a war the US lost
Paid the price at a very high cost
History shows the mistakes that were made
Hopefully over time soldiers forgave
