Analysis of Uruguayan Lullaby
Under the shining stars,
Children sleep at night
Accompany by a melodious song
Of croaking frogs,
Tapping rhythmically over lily pads;
Crickets tuning their wings;
Grasshoppers leaping from time to time,
And rubbing the edge of their wings
Against the other ones.
Juvenile nightingales
Sing along, exquisite tunes,
To keep themselves awake all night.
A sleepy weeping willow yawns
By the sound of the lullaby
And soon its branches
Join the dance of the fireflies.
The wind carries the soothing sound
Of the lullaby to those children
Still awake in the night.
