Analysis of Unreal Love

Jessikah Bailey 1988 (United States)

you and i were golden
we were the dream team
but now it's over
and we don't even speak,
which confuses me
because we loved so carefree
you said the words and i
repeated them back to you,
but only one was real,
you just walked away
and forgot everything
you left me to shame.
and i never noticed
 that you didn't want me.
now your back is all i keep seeing.
in my dreams or thoughts,
i hate you for leaving me for dead and
i love you for loving me when you did.
i want to thank you
for showing me the way it's NOT
supposed to be
i wish i could tell you
how you changed me
but, i thank you the same
for the best,
by far, Unreal Love!
