This life so splendid,
rife torn and rended,
a daily spectacle and routine,
ripped and ragged at the seam,
floundering for regularity,
finding only shattered reality,
these blurred images burning,
my eyes struggling and spurning,
finding only abnormality,
in this world of formality.

Niles Grey
I know this is supposed to be the spot were I talk about me, but I'd rather talk a little about my poetry.Requested reviews in order of my desire to have them reviewed:
Rise Again
Chained by Memories
The Pack
The Wordsmith
Midnight Fight
Carry OnI have a couple hidden gems as I call them, Chained by Memories, and Rise Again are both written about real world events. In fairness, Rise Again is written based on some strong subject matter, namely abuse, so please be prepared if you choose to read it.Daughter of December is dedicated to a friend of mine, and specifically written about that freind.Modern Progress, Crimes against Nature, and A Day in the Life are my own observations about the continued drive of industrialization and modernization and how civilization continues to destroy the world we live in.The Pack, The day after the Funeral, Winters melody, The Real World, Midnight fight, Tomorrow's a new day, Burn it all!, Bottled Emotion, Seasonal Beginnings, Frozen Moments, Midnight Angel, Insomnia, Writer's block, and Symmetry in Opposition are all just verses that jumped into my mind refused to be ignored, some even keeping me from sleeping for 2 - 3 days while I let them mature.Building grills is just designed to be sarcastic humor, it was litterally written while I was building my 4th or 5th grill for the 7th or 8th day in a row, I was so annoyed it just kind of tumbled out. :DThoughts on Love is just that really, it's a free verse, and honestly one of my earliest works. It's not even one of my favorites, but is deserves it's place in my history, and so I'll keep it around. I've slimmed it down to about 5 lines and think it works much better that way but the original work is important because it shows how much I've changed in the 15 ish years I've been writing privately. The Wordsmith is my newest work, it just kind of sprung to life in my brain while I was chatting with some people, who by now must be convinced that I'm insane...Carry On is my tribute to all those who have struggled with suicide. I hope that it touchs you deeply, and might inspire you.I don't write all the time, but I love to do it, and have decided to look into publication, after much prodding by freinds and family. I intend for my first book to be titled 'A poem a day.' and should have 365 poems. After that I'd like to see about contacting some of the other writers out there who have tackled some strong subjects, such as abuse, sexual assualt, poverty, etc., with their writing and seeing if they would be willing to work on a collaborative effort that could be used to contribute towards charities that help with those subjects. So that's me, you can find me on Facebook under the same name. more…
