Analysis of The Promise of Love

The first time I fell in love, I cried.
The next time I did it, I cried again.
Why is it that every time I fall in love
I always have to cry?

After all the hurting I felt
And after all those tears
I cried,
I've come up with a promise
That I'll never love someone that way again.

But one day I woke up
With a broken promise.
I wasn't able to accept the fact
Because I woke up one morning in love with you.
