Analysis of Stormy Nights
Falling asleep in my warm bed
Is all that I ever asked for
But hearing the yelling from you instead
Made me want to walk out the door
I have worked all day so tried to rest
Thinking I deserve at least that at night
I'd get maybe five minutes of sleep at best
That is when you started the fight
It happened so often I knew to expect it
Seemed about four or five times a day
Most of the time I'd even accept it
At least then you'd think you had it your way
But come on now, why during the night hour
That is the time I should be asleep
You may have thought I had no power
But in the end you're the one to weep
Maybe your mistakes are not at a lost
Finally there is something you will learn
A soldier will win at any cost
And messing with me will only get you burned
