Analysis of She waits 'Neath the Moon in Vain

Upon each glow
Of full moon's light
Sitting through a haunting night
A lady
On a lover's seat
Is waiting for her love to greet
'T was there
They pledged their loving troth
To be as one and happy both
'T was there
He said as the moon shone bright
He had
To leave by morning light
Duty
Called he had to go
To serve his king to fight the foe
And so
She waited for her love
'Neath many moons and stars above
Alas
Her love did not return
So all alone she'd sit and yearn
He'd
Left God's earth for heaven's light
He'd served his king but
Met his plight
And now alone she sits and weeps
But deep
Inside their love she keeps
As years passed by she seemed to fade
Dreaming
Of the troth they made
She died they say of a broken heart
She couldn't
Bear their love apart
When the moon
Is full
And the stars are bright
The lady waits she haunts the night
She waits
Now 'neath the moon in vain
With
Lost love's bleak eternal pain
