Analysis of Rinsed in joy overnight!!

In the middle of the night I heard this sound
A thrust in soul round and round
Like in a dream a saw a surrounded fence
A liquid of Joy began to rinse

I started to giggle down in my soul
Filled with youth but never old
It pounded my heart up to my eyes
These tears of Joy I began to cry

Like a spiritual moment in God's own hand
Totally happy to be this man
I tried to stop but I had no control
Laughing loud as the story's told

I was rinsed in Joy overnight
Prescence of peace felt so right
And when I woke up I couldn't believe
The Joy I felt the smiles agreed

I found my passion for writing poetry when I entered my first poetry contest with Poetry.com in 1997 with the poem "A Place" which gave me my first poetry Editor's Choice Award. Since then I've published two poetry books and received 5 more Awards. Writing is a vent for me and I'm a better person because of it! Now I reside in Hollywood, Ca. Where I continue writing to inspire, encourage, and challenge my readers and other fellow poets out there! Hope my poems brings optimism, change, to make this world a better place. And most importantly, when my life is over, let it be said....."I Contributed more than I Criticized!" more…
