Analysis of Recite No Sad Poems

Recite no sad poems,
Of mountains and hills
Capped with green clouds;
Of seas and rivers
Fished out by hungry mouths;
Of love turned hate
By betrayal and deceit;
Of a man who lies and cheats on his wife,
And then carries on like "some kind of hero;"
Of a father who have but love and time
To care for his children, and then be cussed
By one as a "sorry excuse for a man;"
Of some people who believe that the good
U.S.A belongs to them only, and that the
Rest should all "go back to .... "
And (the saddest of all),
Of men who deny in their hearts and
Profess with their mouths, "there is no God."
Recite no sad poems,
Because they make the spirit die.
