Analysis of Point of View

No sun shines in today's dark skies.
A dreary world, clouds soon to cry.
That's the view of most of the world,
But not through the eyes of one little girl.
All she can see is the wind in the trees.
It brings her a smile, this autumn breeze.
All she can hear is the soft rain falling.
She listens closely; the storm is calling.
The seconds between lightning and thunder,
She counts as the sky seems torn asunder.
Anxiously waiting for the gale to arrive,
So she may watch as the sky comes alive.
Oh! What a miracle! Such a beautiful sight,
The night storm so fierce, her eyes alight.
The heavens echoing, a thunderous drum,
Keeping the rhythm, by wind and rain sung.
Clapping and laughing, such a wonderous show!
The fury lessens now. She smiles, even though,
She knows that soon the song must stop.
Till then she listens: Drip, Drop, Plip, Plop
