Analysis of Poet
My childhood nights were set astray from the norm.
A little girl praying,
hoping,
wishing
to be a poet of the world.
Internationally acclaimed for her
was with words
and her strong heart bursting from her caramel colored
chest.
Her heart beats for the world
and even harder for her passion,
to leave her readers' souls
replenished and ready to read another
after they soak up her diction in the
sponges of their hearts.
She will one day
be the woman onstage,
reciting her lines.
Her heart is racing as she announces the last line,
her ears yearning with dry anticipation
to hear the gentle
snap,snap
of the earth's fingers
applauding in approval the beauty
I propose to my listeners.
*The change in point of view was done purposefully. Thank you all who have given me me words of hope and inspiration.
