Analysis of Obedience

You cannot change a race after it has been run, no
More than you can change what has already been done,
There are some things I would change if I could, some
Things i've done bad I would turn to good, but to dwell
On those things is of no use, for what I have done i
Make no excuse, my only goal now is to follow what is
Right, avoiding the dark and staying in the light, I am
A creature of the day not of the night, obedience is
Better than many sacrifices, our enemy destroys
Obedience with many devices, he moves us in inches a
Little each day, before we know it we are completely
Astray, we call out to god but we have moved far away,
The road back to him is farther than we thought,
Remember those traps in which we have been caught,
The enemy is out there with nothing else to do, but
Try and steal everything from me and you, so when you
Get back where you belong, do not think the war is
Over you would be wrong.

Troy Kaneer

I have been writing for about 20 years. Found I could rhyme a little and still say something. Was led to use this for the Glory of God and His Son my Saviour. I do write some personal poems but it seems that God gets in those too. It is appropriate though because He is my life. more…
