Analysis of My Friend The Field Mouse

Oh! how cold its ever so chilly
to stay outside would be so silly
warm shelter I must seek
there's an open window i'll take a peek
no one about there all in bed
at last i'll be warm might even get fed
oh! dear there's someone moving around
it's a little girl "mum look what i've found"
a little mouse with big brown eyes
"can I keep him please she cries"
her mother replied "it wouldn't be right
but he may stay until tonight"
here you are some tasty cheese!
I'm very thirsty some water please?
thank you for being so kind
your generosity i'll keep in mind
it's time now to say goodbye
little girl please don't cry
I really must be on my way
farewell my friend I heard her say, farewell
