Analysis of My Father

How can I know the depth of Your love?
How can I fathom my God up above?
Who spoke into nothing and created all things;
The planets, the stars, and the angels that sing.
You stand on the heavens as a king on His throne;
Then Your stoop down to help us & call us Your own.
Who can fathom Your goodness or grace to behold;
I give You my life, my will and my soul. Reflecting Your image my greatest desire;
Rekindle my heart with Your holy fire.
How can I take lightly the sacrifice made; When it was my life for which You had paid.
Your mercy was clear when You hung on that cross;
As You willingly gave up Your life for the lost.
You bid us to come and receive Your free gift;
Then no longer between us will there be a rift.
When my selfish pride still does cause me to fail;
Do you still feel the pain from those awful nails?
Do You relive that moment that cost You so much;
For all generations who knew not Your touch.
In quiet surrender I give you my ways;
I will gratefully serve You for all of my days.
My heart overwhelmed in grateful repose;
That my sin washed away that great day You Rose!
