Analysis of Memories and Old Love

Memories and old love
mixed with lime
and margarita salt.
We were talking about
the good old days.
Dark and intoxicating
they floated to the surface
of our fuzzy brains.
"Maybe we should try
this love thing again,"
You said through slurred lips.
I know the drinks are
working their magic
as I look into your
amazing blue eyes.
I almost slip into
your familiar embrace.
Until I remember
the nasty hangover
I always get after loving you.
