Analysis of Magical Day In May

bright and early on a magical day in may
the sun is shining as the clouds cascade
the air is clear and the temperatures' just right
no more problems, just adventures in sight

hopping on the bus to destinations unknown
stopping on the streets where it meets my home
exploring with all the tourists in the city that never ever sleeps
lived here all my life but it just never ever sank into my teeth

biking to the bowery to meet all of my favorite indie alternative bands
telling all the pedestrians on the streets to stop by and give them a chance
writing like a wizard getting whisked away to a far away fantasy land
living like a bachelor, doing whatever i want, whenever i want, just cause i know i can

shopping like a mary poppins at the market in a flannel shirt and cargo pants
met a brazillian bombshell buying bagels who said she was born and raised in france
i asked her if she's taken, she's making me wait and finally she said no she doesnt have a man
took her to a dinner and a movie in midtown manhattan and then later we went out and danced

hiking in the hamptons getting lost in the hemisphere as we go higher hand and hand
we stop sit and stare at the top of the mountains and gazed at the beautiful atmosphere
waiting for a window of opportunity as soon as we see the sun slip by in a trance
this might be as good as it gets and the road gets longer and it might not go no where

nodding off on the car ride home alone with you as i'm thinking of my past
a little bit of rock and roll music on the radio to relax my fascination with you
then you started kissing me on the lips like a lioness as i started to take my foot off the gas
it must've been the lust in my lungs cause after that we pulled over and made love underneath the bluest moon
